About role
This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems, including the design of the program flow of separate pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing
Key responsibilities
As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and deploying applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system to build our next-generation product.
- Participating in architectural discussions to ensure stability and performance.
- Implementing enhancements to continually improve our delivery process.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional Agile team to achieve positive business outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Be proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Java or a willingness to learn is a plus.(Optional)
- Have experience with both front-end (particularly React) and back-end (Node.js) frameworks.
- Be familiar with build tools, Git, continuous integration, and AWS cloud.
- Enjoy collaborating with team members to create innovative solutions for the research community.
- Have experience with a modern IDE and proficiency in using refactoring tools.
- Be open to discussing and refining approaches to improve team practices.
- Have experience with test-driven development and mocking libraries.
