What qualification will I receive upon completion?
You will be working towards obtaining your ACCA qualification. This qualification is a globally recognised professional certification and is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive qualifications for finance and accounting professionals. Obtaining this qualification will significantly enhance your career and open up many opportunities for you within the accounting and finance industry.
About the scheme
You will be sponsored to study a professional accounting qualification from one of the UK’s leading accounting bodies while, at the same time, gaining invaluable experience in a variety of Finance roles to become a rounded finance professional. You’ll gain experience in different Finance teams on a six-monthly rotational basis, giving you the chance to learn how each Finance team operates, as well as understanding which Finance specialism you might like to follow as your Finance career develops.
To support your learning and growth journey, you will gain access to six half yearly rotational placements. These placements could include:
- Providing Management Accounting and Commercial Accounting support, as part of our Blackburn based finance teams, to one of the countries we operate in;
- Helping to manage our tax obligations and treasury activities within the business, which supports and underpins the group;
- Working in Financial Planning & Analysis to assist the budget setting process for the organisation as a whole or support the reporting of results to our Senior Executive Team; and
- Getting involved with our Reporting Team to support the Group consolidation process and play a part in meeting our internal and external reporting requirements.
Alongside this, we have carefully designed a Graduate education programme that will run throughout your three-year scheme. This programme includes bespoke workshops and training sessions aimed at building wider skills to help you become a future leader!
Our Learning Based Bonus Incentive has been designed for your benefit to help with your continuous learning and personal development. By linking bonuses directly to your learning outcomes, once you have achieved a certain milestone within your qualification, you will be rewarded with a salary increase.
