At Dornan we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for North London.
Your day to day will include
- Review and understanding of project specifications, relevant standards and industry guides.
- Specification and selection of equipment and systems
- Preparation of design calculations
- Preparation/review of drawings
- Engagement with the market to identify optimal product/solution
- Engagement with procurement team to manage engineering aspects of procurement process
- Ensuring designs are prepared with construct-ability and commission-ability in mind
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments (with construction team) for production activities
- Prepare reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take-off and tender schedules.
- Prepare technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.
What we are looking for
- Able to perform all levels of measurement, variance analysis and reporting.
- Able to monitor and check the accuracy and quality of less-experienced staff.
- Have a practical understanding of scheduling and the associated commercial implications.
- Maintain accurate records and provide necessary detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costing.
- Ability to work on own initiative and can prioritise without direction.
- Knowledge of advanced quantity surveying concepts, practices, and procedures.
