Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Placement Student to join one of our two finance teams in the Cummins Darlington Campus During your 12-month placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
- Work within different accounting areas subject to on business requirements
Liaising with other Cummins entities and other functions across the plant to effectively resolve queries
- Customer invoicing, ensuring invoices are accurate, raised timely and compliant with business controls
- Complete and own month end journals, reconciliations and processes
- Ensuring suppliers are paid on time resolving invoice discrepancies, answering queries and reconciling statements
- Opportunity to manage projects within the finance function and implement improvement initiatives
- Collaborative work with students across the site to complete cross functional community engagement projects
To be successful in this role you will need the following
- Working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject
- Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel and Microsoft
- Willingness to challenge the norm and constantly look for improvements
- Competent in using collaboration tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
