Role purpose
- To ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the method/s supplied, in a manner to obtain accurate results and to inform their Senior Scientist, Laboratory Manager or General Manager of any circumstances arising that may jeopardise the integrity of such results.
- To keep the Senior Scientist, Laboratory Manager or General Manager informed concerning the status of work, including situations which may lead to potential delays.
- To undertake routine basic laboratory duties and/or clerical duties as directed and documenting in compliance with company procedures.
- To collate data for laboratory records for the preparation of reports and for compliance with quality procedures for work performed in their Section.
- To undertake monitoring and care of equipment.
- To work in compliance with GLP, GMP and the general and Health and Safety policies and procedures of Wickham Micro Quality System.
- To undertake work as directed by the Lead or Principle Scientist, Laboratory Manager, Senior Business Manager or General Manager as far as reasonably practicable.
Role responsibilities
- Communicating with internal laboratory sections over routine work requirements
- Ensure work is completed to required level of quality in a timely manner
Required qualifications and experience
- Sound knowledge of GMP, GLP and health and safety with the laboratory
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Math's, English and Science
- Relevant experience within a laboratory setting
