We are currently looking for a Web Support & Content Executive to join our exciting and fast-moving agency based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, but will allow you to work remotely from anywhere. This is the perfect role for someone looking to start their career in the web development and web support space.

Working within the Delivery and Support team, this role is responsible for adding content to websites and mobile apps, software testing and support overflow. This role is all about getting projects live and then assisting with post-live aftercare, so works alongside both the Account Management and Development teams. This role will give the successful applicant the chance to develop their skills and to progress as the team continues to expand.

Our dream candidate

We’re looking for a self-starting individual who is looking to develop a career in digital. You may have recently left college, school or university, or are looking for a change in career and are interested in websites, with the knack for customer service. A keen eye for detail and organisation is essential, as you’ll be uploading content to various client platforms, as well as testing them to ensure they have been developed to the clients’ requirements. You’ll need the ability to build good relationships with the wider Design, Development and Account Management teams, so strong communication skills are essential.

We’re a friendly, outgoing team and are looking for someone to match our energy. You should have a good work ethic, willingness to learn, and have a positive, can-do attitude. Time management, working to deadlines and the ability to work under pressure when necessary are a must.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients
  • Use of correct grammar and spelling in all communications to clients, CDA and third parties
  • Ability to develop good working relationships, working part of a team and independently
  • Strong PC/IT skills including MS Office

Key responsibilities

  • Providing client support via email, support portal and telephone
  • Data uploading on multiple website platforms (Magento, WordPress, WooCommerce)
  • Image manipulation using Photoshop and graphic design support
  • Testing of websites and mobile apps, raising any issues found and keeping track of their progress
  • Supporting other departments where needed

Once you are fully trained you will become responsible for some/all the above. You will also be required to attend and hold meetings with members of the company, this will include the Managing Director and Senior Managers. You may also be required to contribute to marketing CDA at exhibitions or with other promotional activities.

Qualifications and experience

  • GCSE’s minimum grade C/4, including English & Maths
  • A level/ relevant college diploma/ relevant completed apprenticeship
  • Degree preferable but not essential
