We are looking for a Water Quality Scientist who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
This is a 12 month fixed term office based role within our Regulation & Compliance Team in the Cardiff office.
Your key responsibilities are
- Support the delivery of regulatory reporting to strict deadlines which includes drinking water safely plans, compliance data, and event reporting
- Use performance and analytical data to inform and update companies risk assessments
- Advise the business on water quality matters, including emergency incidents and investigatory work, when required
- Take action to maintain public health by identifying risks and ensuring that the appropriate remedial measures are taken including liaison with external stakeholders
- To join the water quality standby rota and provide water quality advice and support to the out of hours team
About you
- Degree level in appropriate technical discipline or hold Rsci, IEng or REnvP.
- Full driving licence.
- Technically competent on the full Microsoft suite of software.
- Full driving licence
- Experience within a relevant scientific field, with a strong understanding of water quality regulations, water quality science, water quality customer service and public health issues
- Multi-tasker who can meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a customer focussed work environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large amounts of diverse data
