Power On, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for an Assistant Design Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
As the assistant design engineer your key responsibilities are
- Assist in developing tender and design for fit for purpose utility network designs, which fully meet customer and business requirements
- Work with other teams, such as Business Development, to ensure we can deliver work within project timescales and budget
- Directly liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring there is assigned resources and that HSEQ is adhered to
- Regularly speak with customers to ensure satisfaction and effective delivery of project tasks and that objectives are understood and met
- Liaise with colleagues across our business organisation to ensure effective delivery of tasks and to ensure project objectives are understood and met
- Contribute to your team, sharing knowledge and experience
- Represent PO to customers and individuals from other companies with support from Senior or Design Engineers
About you
- Degree in an Engineering subject
- Knowledge of engineering principles and health and safety legislation
- Impeccable attention to detail who can successfully handle multiple workstreams
- Innovative thinker who has a proactive, collaborative approach to your work
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to liaise at all levels
- Desire to produce quality work whilst keeping the customer at the forefront of the process
