We are looking for an Assistant Accountant, who will play a key role in the preparation and reconciliation of client funds, ensuring customer and Company funds are reflected correctly in the accounts.

The role

The Finance department consists of over 100 team members across all levels, working within an exciting and dynamic environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their skillset within Finance and join an innovative and growing team.

Working within the territories team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and assist with the preparation and reconciliation of client funds, ensuring all of the financial regulatory requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner.

This role will require weekend work, likely to be one in every four and the occasional bank holiday.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

If successful, you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

Main responsibilities

  • Extracting data from payment providers and banks to facilitate the reconciliation process.
  • Importing transactions using the reconciliation app, ensuring controls and processes have been followed.
  • Supporting the reconciliation team in producing accurate and timely reconciliations of financial data, ensuring all variances are investigated.
  • Maintaining a log of unreconciled transactions and liaising with relevant stakeholders to correct the accounts, ensuring a clean reconciliation.
  • Administering the reconciliation mailbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Gaining an in depth knowledge and understanding of Company terminology and processes.
  • Completing ad hoc tasks as and when required.
