The opportunity now exists for a graduate town planner to join BDP to help grow the planning group.
We are seeking a Town Planner to work within our established planning team on a variety of projects including planning applications, masterplans, environmental impact assessments and providing strategic planning advice for public and private sector clients from small scale to large complex projects.
BDP has an established and successful Urbanism Studio in London, comprising a multi-disciplinary team of town planners, urban designers, masterplanners and landscape architects.
Whilst the planning team is an integral part of BDP’s multi-disciplinary offer in the UK and internationally; we also work with a range of public and private sector clients mainly in mixed use, healthcare, residential and government sectors including the Restoration and Renewal of The Palace of Westminster.
About You
We are looking for a graduate planner with a strong technical background, previous work experience is advantageous.
This role requires confident written and verbal communication to deliver planning advice that assists with strategy development, decision-making and problem solving.
Candidates must be able to work on a variety of different types of planning projects with different team members and clients from the public sector and private sector. Consulting with community groups is also an important aspect of the role.
As an enthusiastic team player, you will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment to tight deadlines and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including the project teams, clients, local communities and external consultants.
