    As a Technical Author, you will create all our documentation to support Baker Perkins products, services, and systems. You will also help updating and improving our tools and internal processes.

    The main duties

    • Create and Maintain Documentation: Write, edit, and maintain user manuals, technical guides, release notes, help files and knowledge based articles for external users.
    • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, product leaders, support teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
    • Update and optimize our documentation
    • Propose new tools or ways to communicate and help our users to know more about our equipment: videos, detailed plans…
    • Ensure Consistency and Clarity: Follow company-specific style guides and best practices to ensure documentation is consistent, clear, and easy to understand.
    • Document Complex Equipment: Break down complex technical concepts into easily understandable language, including diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to support the documentation.
    • Ensure Accuracy and Quality: Conduct thorough proofreading and review to ensure error-free, grammatically correct documentation that meets the highest standards .
    • Conduct Research: Research product features, new tools, and emerging technologies to ensure up-to-date content. Collaborate with product teams to stay current with product updates and new releases.

    Candidate profile

    • A degree or an experience in Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
    • A real interest for the industrial equipment and the pleasure of learning
    • a clear and concise writing style - a flair for turning technical subjects and jargon into easily understood text
    • IT skills – knowledge of FrameMaker and/or InDesign would be appreciated
    • the ability to deliver to deadline- a well-organised approach, to juggle different projects
    • team-working skills
    • Autonomy, creative mind and a sense of innovation, to propose new solutions in this area

    We are also open to a young professional, able to show his/her motivation, an industrial vision and a certain sense of initiative.
