    We are looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join our Finance Business team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

    AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Up to two days on site although this may change to 2 days on site or at Green Park at a future date.

    Introducing the role

    As a valued member of our Finance Business Partnering team, you'll play a crucial role in empowering project and functional managers with the financial insights they need to make informed decisions. Your expertise will help support successful projects and contribute to our vital mission to keep our nation safe.

    Key responsibilities

    • Supporting your team by provision of essential financial information to support business areas.
    • Maintaining, inputting, and providing information:
      • Following company guidelines and processes
      • Meeting required deadlines in line with business rhythms
      • Ensuring high-quality standards
    • Analysing financial performance by reviewing actual costs against budget and forecast, identifying any variances.
    • Monitoring project progress by comparing actual progress against plans and identifying any variances.
    • Creating ad-hoc reports as needed, collaborating with Ad Hoc MI and Information teams.
    • Being open to challenges and new ideas, sharing knowledge and experience, and encouraging others through a collaborative approach.

    • You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
