We have been in business for 325+ years. Two things we’ve learned – never rest on your laurels and always look for ways to innovate and improve.

Challenging the status quo, identifying and solving problems, creating innovative new solutions and delivering change across our business. That’s what being a graduate in Change Delivery is all about at Aviva.  Technology is at the heart of these changes, but you don’t need to be a tech expert to join us here though. This is about understanding the impact technology has and how we can harness it to drive change that transforms our customer and colleague experiences.

From the moment you join us, you’ll be in a permanent position where you can own and drive your development.

Ready to shine bright in your career?

Get to know the different pathway roles

We have a number of roles within this specialism.  We’d encourage you to be as open as possible about the different options, but do let us know on your application if you have a preferred role.

Business Analyst (Bristol, Norwich or York)

Our Business Analysts help us understand our customers’ needs – and what’s required to deliver the practical solutions to meet them. If you’re the kind of person who can explain complex concepts and problems in a simple way, this is the place for you. You’ll analyse and evaluate business opportunities (including the supporting data) and identify areas for improvement. And in everything you do, you’ll champion the use of technology to improve how we do things for our 19.5 million customers and thousands of colleagues.

Operations Analyst (Norwich or York)

Our Operations Analysts play a key role in supporting our Technology and Chief Operations Offices. They assist in the coordination of meetings and events and help write and shape the communications that go out to our teams. They will also routinely deal with confidential and sensitive information that is needed for key deliverables such as board papers. So, if you’re the kind of person that enjoys building relationships, wants to get exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and has natural strengths in planning and organising this is the role for you. You will be tenacious, collaborative, and confident in your approach to getting input from others. You’ll also be commercially minded and if you can see a way to deliver better outcomes, you’ll have plenty of opportunities and scope to make recommendations for change.

Programme Management Office (Norwich or York)

Our PMO team plays a key role in supporting other business and technology colleagues to deliver strategic change programmes that total hundreds of millions of pounds in value. Like the conductor of a symphony, you’ll provide the independent view that steers the delivery in the right direction. Providing advice and guidance on the best tools to use, the best approaches to take and best ways to measure success, you’ll drive insight and challenge to ensure that everything stays on track and on budget, and that everyone involved is working efficiently and effectively towards the same goal.

Project Manager (Bristol, Norwich or York)

Our Project Managers are the experts in organising – both themselves and others. We look for people who thrive on taking the lead and can inspire others to deliver great customer outcomes as effectively and efficiently as possible removing blockers when needed. They are comfortable challenging in a group (for example with Aviva teams, or our third-party suppliers and Strategic Partners), continually looking at ways to improve how we deliver change and ensuring everyone is heard and is held to account. With a passion for delivering great customer service, excellent people and planning skills as well as able to manage risks and our vulnerabilities, you’re just the person to make sure everything gets done in the right way, at the right time and on budget.

Solution Architect (Norwich or York

Our Solution Architects act as technology leaders, working with colleagues from a variety of teams to design innovative end-to-end technology solutions that meet our business and customer outcomes. With a genuine interest in emerging and existing technologies, you’ll communicate well with both technical and business professionals alike in bringing complex concepts and solutions to life in a simple way.

Where could you be based?

Our Technology Change Delivery Pathway opportunities are based in Bristol, Norwich and York: all buzzing places in which to launch your career. Not all role types are available in every location, so tell us on your application if you have a preference. You will need to live within commuting distance of the office where the role is based or be willing to relocate prior to start date as you’ll need to spend time with your team in person, as well as virtually, working from home. Three days in the office and two days from home is typical, but this will vary between teams.
