About the role
We're recruiting for an exciting Engineering Summer Internship 2022 opportunity at our Griffin Brewery, Chiswick.
The Engineering Intern will solve problems and work on the digitalisation of maintenance systems to support the Engineering Team in their vision of becoming a World-Class Manufacturing engineering operation.
The Engineering Intern will report into the Engineering Team Leader at Griffin Brewery.
Key accountabilities
The Engineering Intern is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:
Problem Solving
- Problem solving of packaging and brewing issues to find a root cause
- Working with the engineers and operators to follow problem solving methodology
Preventative Maintenance
- Implementing robust preventative maintenance standards for packaging and brewing equipment
- Supporting engineers in creating maintenance plans
Maintenance Management System
- Assisting with the set-up of a new and fully digitalised world-class Maintenance Management System
- Review of existing maintenance systems to ensure completeness for upload into new Maintenance Management System
Experience required
Completion of first year of a mechanical, industrial, chemical or electrical engineering undergraduate degree
Key attributes
- Self-driven
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with engineers, brewers and operators
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office
- Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly
- Database skills are a plus
Qualifications
Completion of first year of a mechanical, industrial, chemical or electrical engineering undergraduate degree
Graduates will also be considered
