Job description

Aforza is looking for a Graduate Support Engineer to join our talented Technical Support team. You will be responsible for working with customers to quickly solve the problems they face in using our cloud-based solutions. You will do this by applying your intimate knowledge of Aforza’s application coupled with the expert Salesforce coding skills you will have developed.

As your experience increases, your responsibilities will grow to support our Managed Services team who undertake continuous work for our customers in performing configuration of the Aforza application to increase the benefits they gain from our solution.

As time goes by, and your skills develop, further career opportunities will open up to you. This may be through a move into our Professional Services team who run projects to implement Aforza for new customers, or perhaps into our R&D team who design and develop the core software that runs our customers’ businesses.

Along the way you will receive training and mentorship from highly skilled Engineers and Consultants who are experts in the Aforza application and Salesforce platform technologies. We fully expect you to achieve all of the necessary Aforza and Salesforce certifications along the way.

Requirements

  • Be the first point of contact for customers facing challenges with our products, helping them solve things quickly and efficiently.
  • Leverage your strong technical and functional skills, helping create and deliver effective resolutions.
  • Assist customers in troubleshooting their custom Salesforce code, integration, and implementation of Aforza products. This involves debugging, troubleshooting, and ensuring issues are fully resolved.
  • Developing and maintaining technical expertise in assigned areas of Aforza product functionality.
  • Maintain up-to-date Salesforce platform knowledge and certification, including but not limited to Administrator, Platform App Builder and Platform Developer.
  • We’ll show you how to do all this (and more) as you play an integral role in the success and growth of the business at an exciting time in its history.

Qualifications

You are someone with:

  • A 2:1 or higher in Computer Science or a closely related degree. Note, this is a highly technical role and will require a degree qualification of this type as a foundation upon which to develop.
  • Previous experience of having undertaken significant coding activities. This should involve object-orientated programming languages (similar to Salesforce’s Apex) such as Java or C#. This may have been achieved through internships or work experience or perhaps a complex university project. You will need to be prepared to discuss / demonstrate this in depth.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • An excellent team player who is also comfortable working independently.
  • Having a strong work ethic, initiative, and drive.
