Join our dynamic team as a Marketing Assistant! The marketing assistant will support the Marketing Manager in the delivery and execution of all marketing communications for the UK and Ireland business.

In this role you will assist the regional category and marketing team with delivery of supplier driven marketing activity including new product/supplier launches and support the wider business with promotional, sales activity and brand building, across many marketing channels including email, social, web, PR, advertising and direct marketing. This is an opportunity for a driven and forward-thinking individual to build a career in Marketing with a global distribution business operating across the full marketing mix. There may also be the opportunity to get involved in some EMEA marketing activities.

What you will do

  • Brief and execute creative marketing assets and campaigns
  • Campaign and asset reporting and analysis
  • Supplier liaison to deliver marketing plans
  • Partner with category managers on delivering strategy through marketing channels
  • Supporting new product and new vendor launches
  • Campaign and editorial content writing
  • Idea contribution on customer marketing strategy including ABM, demand-generation and brand building
  • Liaison with the regional sales function to understand customer and market trends
  • Planning and support of company and industry events
  • Build marketing skills across multiple channels and future technologies
  • Administrative duties and ad hoc requests as assigned

You must have

  • Experience in Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Knowledge of marketing automation programs (Marketo) and workflow tools (Smartsheet, Workfront) an advantage
  • Understanding of design and creative processes
  • Proficiency in English Language
  • Communication skills with ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
