Bright Network has teamed up with Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) to provide 30 of our members who are interested in a career in investment banking with an opportunity to attend a 4-day insight week at the SCIB office. Successful applicants will have the chance to gain valuable insights into the firm’s inclusive and supportive culture, learn about the firm’s different business areas, hear from senior leaders, and have their application fast-tracked through the initial screening stage of their 2026 summer internship process.
This event has been tailored to inspire our brightest members from diverse backgrounds to feel confident and empowered starting out on a career in corporate and investment banking.

This programme will take place across 4 days, from the 14th to the 17th of April 2025.

10am to 4pm each day
Agenda
Each day will focus on immersing you into each one of SCIB's four key business areas to help you find out if a career in Investment Banking at Santander aligns to your aspirations, values and future goals.
Each day will include networking, skills workshops, shadowing, active participation in case studies and plenty of opportunities to ask questions to gain a real picture of what it’s like to be a part of the team.
Each candidate will have a mentor to help them get the most out of the experience. The final day will include a session designed to support your journey to the Internship & acing the Assessment Centre.

Who can attend?
- Undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds, including those who received free school meals, are the first generation in their family to go to university, or attended a state school
- Including but not limited to those studying STEM, business, economics and social sciences
- Graduating in 2027
- On track for a 2.1 or above and have demonstrated academic excellence throughout their education
- Have a real motivation for joining the investment banking industry
Travel details
The event will take place across 4 days at the SCIB offices - 2 Triton Square, Regents Place, London, NW1 3AN.
For travel to the event, SCIB will support with travel and hotel expenses (up to £100 per person per day, however more support can be provided on a case-by-case basis if needed). More details will be shared if you are successful in gaining a place.
