First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
"I'm naturally a kind and creative person, which aligns with my desire for a career in pharmaceuticals, as your job is to make an impact on patients globally.
I decided to go to university as I had a passion for the medical field. I've always wanted to help people and I believed university would help me open that door. I'm also the eldest of eight, so I wanted to set an example for my younger siblings.
I wrote a letter to myself when I was 6 saying that I'll help the sick children, every now and then I look at that letter to remind myself of my goal."
What motivated you to apply for your role?
"I wanted to get into the pharmaceutical industry but I wasn't sure what field I was interested in. This programme puts students into different fields to see what's the best fit for them.
During this time, I connected with staff in numerous departments at Roche, finding out what they do and more about their experiences working at the company, and I'm now interested in working in the supply chain and R&D sector."
What have you learned from going through the process?
"On top of learning more about the supply chain industry and the operations in drug delivery, I've also got the opportunity to improve my networking skills."
What are you most proud of about your journey?
Not only did this experience broaden my understanding of various career paths, but it also significantly expanded my professional network, connecting me with talented and inspiring individuals across Roche. The highlight of my summer was travelling to Basel in Switzerland, to present my final project and achievements to the other interns and mentors‚ which was an incredibly rewarding and exciting moment!"
