Khyati is a Business with Marketing student from Bayes Business School. She secured a MarketingIndustrial placement at Moove Europe in Kent, through Bright Network.
First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
"I've always loved making content and talking and after attending so many marketing events and exploring my opportunities with different internships, I decided that marketing is the perfect sector for me to learn and grow."
What motivated you to apply for your role?
"I was motivated to apply for the role as I was keen to understand and assist the business by supporting the sales team and their customers.
I wanted to learn more about annual marketing, branding strategy, customer activities and sales channels and wanted the opportunity to help to define goals and measures of success."
What was your application journey like?
"I prepared a lot for the interview stage, by practicing in front of a mirror and asking my family and friends for feedback on my speaking."
What are you most proud of about your journey?
"There was a time when I was only getting rejection emails and it was so demotivating for me to apply for more jobs.
But I didn't give up. I followed the placement deadline on the Bright Network website every week and applied to as many placements as possible and I'm glad I did, as the result was worth all the pain."

"Research as much as possible, then tailor your resume according to the job that you're applying for.
Cover letters make a huge difference, so make sure you're taking the time to add one to your application.
Also, reach out to people on LinkedIn and lastly... be yourself!"
Tell us about the future. What's next?
"Right now I'm just focusing on my placement. Then I will continue my studies as a final year student, after which I will start looking for graduate roles in Marketing."
