Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the person appointed will help support the marketing team specifically with day to day work, relating to campaigns, events and co-ordinating and implementing administrative duties for all marketing strategies and activities. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

    Key responsibilities

    • Providing support for the marketing team and training team.
    • Assisting with support for the seasonal events calendar, internal and external.
    • Support the development of marketing materials.
    • Help generate fresh ideas for engaging storytelling that aligns with brand messaging.
    • Conducting market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies.
    • Analysing marketing performance and reporting key insights to the team.
    • Assisting in planning and coordinating events and promotional activities.
    • Helping implement a variety of marketing campaigns according to the marketing plan and the delivery of marketing materials into the warehouse.
    • Coordinating the production of new marketing literature (e.g. catalogues, leaflets, POS etc.)
    • Understanding stakeholder requirement and expectations for each marketing activity.
    • Coordinate sampling activity as well as monitor & manage sampling stock to ensure full utilisation according to the marketing plan, including NPD trade samples.
    • Manage and update the local retailer FTP site to ensure correct product imagery is always available.
    • Support the coordinate and input into the creation of the annual gifting range.
    • Performing market analysis and research on competition.
    • Liaison with internal sales team to report on PR and press coverage.
    • Contributing and creating our Compost Heap (internal newsletter).
    • Be an active part of the wider sales and marketing team and any duties this includes · Contribute to weekly and monthly activity reports and internal update meetings.

    Person specification

    • Current undergraduate student undertaking a placement year as part of a Marketing, Business, Communications, or related degree. This role is specifically designed for students seeking industry experience before their final year of study.
    • Passion for marketing, branding, and digital content, with a keen interest in consumer trends, sustainability, and innovative brand strategies.
    • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for different audiences across social media, blogs, and email marketing.
    • Knowledge of social media trends and digital marketing tools, including platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook, as well as an understanding of scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later).
    • Creative mindset with an eye for design, capable of assisting with visual content creation for marketing campaigns. Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software is a plus.
    • Basic analytical skills, with an interest in tracking performance metrics and using insights to improve marketing campaigns. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or email marketing analytics is a bonus.
    • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all marketing materials, from social media captions to email campaigns.
    • Team player with a proactive attitude, willing to contribute ideas, take initiative, and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.

    Adaptability and eagerness to learn, as marketing trends and tools evolve, and the role may involve new responsibilities over time.

    This internship is offered for a fixed-term period of approximately 12 months, ideally starting early August or September 2025 (we would also consider an earlier start date), however flexibility around this and duration of placement will be considered.
