A day in the life
You will part of an accomplished team based in Northampton where you will be involved in many exciting transport infrastructure projects. The team is heavily involved in working on community projects, more specifically, how to demonstrate how houses and developments are accessed via all forms of transportation. This is done by transport assessments and impact assessments, environmental impact assessments and travel plans.
You will be part of a wider team located in Cambridge and Birmingham which will give you the opportunity to work with lots of different people from our other offices, as well as be involved in a large variety of projects.
As a Graduate Transport Planner you will be supporting senior staff on:
- Junction Modelling
- Demand forecasting
- Report writing
- Attending internal/external meetings
- Analysing spreadsheets and data
- Writing up planning submissions
About you
You have plenty of positive energy, a desire to learn and you have a passion for Transport Planning. You are excited to join Stantec and design the next great infrastructure project.
The skills and experience we look for in our graduates:
- You will have achieved or be on target to achieve a minimum 2:1 classification in Transport Planning, Geography, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, or equivalent subject.
- You will have relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships.
- Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.
