    We are seeking a Technical Intern - Summer 2025 .

    Description of responsibilities

    SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd is looking for graduates, master’s students or soon to be graduates who are searching for hands-on experience within the global mining consultancy industry, with exciting opportunities for paid summer internships across the technical disciplines of our Mining and Geo-Tech business units:

    • Mining Engineering
    • Rock Mechanics
    • Tailings and Geotechnical Engineering
    • Mineral Processing

    Placements normally run for approximately four weeks and successful candidates will receive practical training and guidance from our experienced professionals and opportunity to collaborate alongside other interns on project work.

    This is a unique learning experience that will provide exposure to the consulting environment and an opportunity to work alongside SRK’s engineers and scientists on a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects within the global mining industry.

    This experience may lead to a permanent role depending on completion of necessary formal qualifications, candidate performance and the needs of SRK Consulting (UK) Limited.

    Please note, the internship will be based at our Cardiff offices and accommodation will not be supplied.

    Essential requirements 

    • Having or working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Mineral Processing, or a related discipline.
    • Interest in working in a global consultancy.
    • Enthusiastic, motivated and a good team player.

    Your responsibilities

    • To generate and put forward ideas and designs for assigned SRK projects.
    • To collate and analyze data from a range of sources under the guidance of experienced consultants.
    • Summarize information in written or visual formats.
    • Work collectively with other interns on projects set by the department to highlight consulting skills.
    • At the end of the internship, be expected to deliver a presentation which concludes findings and experience to a panel of industry experts.
