    We are seeking a Geo-Environment Intern - Summer 2025 .

    Description of responsibilities

    SRK Consulting (UK) Limited are looking for recent graduates, master`s students or soon to be graduates who are searching for hands-on experience within the global mining industry, with exciting opportunities for paid summer internships across our Geo-Environment business units below:

    • Environment Social & Governance 
    • Hydrogeology. Hydrology & Water Engineering 
    • Geochemistry 

    Placements will normally run for approximately four weeks and successful candidates will receieve practical training within each disciplinary and a final collaboration week whilst working alongside our experienced professionals. This is a unique learning experience that will provide exposure to the consulting environment and an opportunity to work alongside SRK`s engineers and scientists on a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects within the global mining industry. 

    Your responsibilities

    • Collate and analyze data from both client and public sources under the guidance of a senior consultant. 
    • Summarize information in a written or visual format to support the department`s current projects.
    • Work collectively with other interns on specific project/s set by the department to highlight consulting skills and give a presentation on this at the end of the internship. 
    • Other tasks as identified by the department on a case-by-case basis. 

    This experience may lead to a permanent role depending on completion of necessary formal qualifications, candidates' performance and the needs of SRK. Opportunities with other disciplines (such as Geology, Tailings and Mining) may be available on a case-by-case basis. 

    Essential requirements

    Essential requirements of the post include:

    • Having or working towards a bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in Earth Sciences, Enviornmental Sciences, Water Management or a related discipline. 
    • Interest in working in global mining consulting. 
    • Enthusiastic, motivated and a good team player.
