    The successful intern will work within gPROMS Quality Assurance Team with close links to the gPROMS Core Platform development team of over 50 software developers and mathematicians. The position is based in our Hammersmith office, West London where you’ll be expected to follow a Hybrid Working Policy of at least two days per week in the office.

    What you'll do

    The intern will be tasked with designing and implementing a multi-module Python program which will be used to automate a number of time-consuming workflows currently employed during manual testing, with the goal of significantly reducing the inherently high effort associated with the testing of gPROMS Products. This program must be designed such that it can be easily maintained and expanded upon in the future. A set of tasks and deliverables will be defined and prioritised, with the lower priority goals being considered as stretch goals for the project.

    The internship will run for 10 weeks during the summer of 2023.

    About you

    • Degree course undergraduate studying a computer science or engineering related subject
    • 3 A-levels with AAA grades or higher, at least one in Mathematics
    • A working knowledge of Python programming language
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Good communication skills
    • A willingness to learn independently, and from those around you
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and on your own
    • A desire to learn new skills
