About the role
As a Customer Insight Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering clear and actionable customer insight and recommendations, to ensure the business is customer focused and to help drive improvements to the customer experience.
Some of the responsibilities include
- Be responsible for updating customer metric reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, as appropriate
- Analyse customer comments and responses to understand themes and trends in the data to understand the success of customer experience changes or to determine new areas for improvement
- Provide ad hoc data and insights to answer requests from senior management team, other colleagues and project teams
- Support the Customer Insight Manager in running in-house surveys and research, to increase the businesses understanding of customer needs
- Support the communication of insight across the business through a variety of sources including, creation and updating of dashboards, posts on internal communication channels, news articles and presentations
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with the OS Consumer team, to understand their requirements for insight and to capture what customer insight activities are taking place across the business
- Support the Customer Insight Data Analyst in running accurate contact lists using the Ordnance Survey CRM system (Dynamics). Dynamics training can be provided, if required
- Monitor the customer insights mailbox and support the updating of customer preferences and opt-outs within Dynamics
Key Skills and Experience
- Resilient and able to manage multiple projects at any one time and plan work
- Ability to analyse data and customer insights to solve complex problems
- Sound knowledge of primary research methods and sampling techniques
- Graduate (or equivalent) within business studies, statistics or other related marketing or market research field
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint is essential
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Highly numerate and commercially aware
- Preferably some experience using survey software

- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Inquisitive mind, self-driven character with a passion for understanding customers
- Can do attitude to all work, whether it is a small admin task to analysing complex data
