We are seeking a self-motivated Trainee SHEQ Advisor to assist with a variety of contracts and sites across London.
What you will do
As a Trainee SHEQ Advisor you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the business SHEQ objectives to assist in driving change and improvement.
- You will provide administration and expert support to Contracting and Operational teams as necessary.
- Logging and distribution of incoming SHEQ related communications.
- Provide feedback to the Sub Contractor and Supplier SHEQ compliance database.
- Review and audit office and site-based systems of work along with controlled files and documents.
- Carry out site SHEQ Inspections as required
- Operate within the requirements of the Company IMS Policy and Procedures.
- Produce required reports and statistics in line with timescales.
- Investigate incidents and agree actions to prevent further occurrence.
- Ensure non-conformances are dealt with appropriately and closed out in within agreed timescales.
- Ensure client requirements are identified and embedded on sites.
- Liaise with client’s SHEQ personnel and take an active part in client forums.
To be successful you will need
- NEBOSH Certificate [Construction/General].
- NRSWA- (Preferred but not essential)
- EUSR: SHEA Water & Hygiene. (Preferred but not essential)
- Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Data collation and presentation.
- Health, Safety & Environmental background, ideally in Construction, Utilities or Highways.
- Ability to gain in-depth knowledge of Company Policies, Procedures and Operational needs.
- Presentation Skills and ability to assist in delivery of training.
- Understanding of behavioural safety.
