Our 12-month Human Resources Placement has been designed to provide the ideal foundation for a career in Human Resources. During your time with us, you will have the chance to see first-hand how our people are fundamental in achieving our vision of being the world’s leading financial markets partner.
To be eligible, you should be currently studying for a degree requiring an Industrial Placement and on track to graduate in summer 2025. You need to be on track for a 2:1 degree or equivalent. Your specific degree subject is less important, but you will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in a future career in HR.
As a placement student, we will immerse you in the Talent Acquisition team within HR from day one, making a meaningful contribution to our team's ambition of identifying, engaging with, upskilling and recruiting the talent for our internship and graduate programmes.
You will play a key role in delivering on our strategic recruitment aims through your support with day-to-day tasks as well as having the opportunity to deliver standalone projects as your placement with us progresses. Your work in the team will ensure you build your HR and Financial Services knowledge as well as develop key transferrable skills that will be vital as you embark on your career after graduation.
You could be working within several teams, such as our Early Careers Recruitment team, or our Careers development team.
Some examples of projects you may support include:
- Designing marketing collateral in preparation for our campus events
- Handling the campus event calendar
- Defining role profiles
- Co-running virtual assessment centres.

Recruitment process
We operate a rolling recruitment process
- The first stage of the recruitment process involves a review of your CV and motivational statement.
- Should you pass the initial screening stage, we will invite you to complete an online test to help identify the skills and behaviours you’ll bring to the role. It includes some questions on how you would describe yourself, how you typically approach tasks, and a short cognitive ability test.
- The next step is a telephone interview where we will test your motivations for the role as well as some of our key competencies.
- The final stage can take the form of an assessment centre or further interviews
Please note, all our assessments will be run virtually this year.
