Gain experience in commercial banking through a customer-facing or support function role. Learn how to develop client relationships and support them to make their businesses become more sustainable.
What you’ll do
Your HSBC journey will be built upon - and thrive with - your skills.
We know how important it is to have the right skills, both for your future and ours. By building this skillset now, we’ll help you develop the agility to keep learning new skills throughout your career.
Over the course of eight to ten weeks, you’ll get to
- Explore how we connect entrepreneurial businesses to opportunities with the help of our Relationship Managers and digital capabilities
- Work with Relationship Managers and their teams to help small enterprises expand domestically, and larger organisations achieve their international goals
- Complete a business-related project on your own or with other interns. This could involve looking at sustainability ideas to support our business, helping our team and Relationship Managers deliver growth, or suggesting process improvements that make life better for our customers and employees
- The project will form part of the assessment at the end of your internship. Those who excel will be considered for our Commercial Banking Graduate Programme, where you will have the opportunity to build an international network and collaborate with clients in developed and developing markets
Who you are
We welcome students from all degree disciplines and backgrounds, not just those who’ve studied finance-related degrees, or those who have knowledge of banking.
It takes a broad range of skills to be successful at HSBC. We’re looking forward to seeing the mix of skills you’ve learned so far, and hearing about the unique perspective that you’ll bring to our teams. We’ll help you learn everything else.
