    Tax

Our tax team covers both Personal and Corporate Taxes as well as indirect taxes such as VAT.

They work with clients to prepare and file tax returns, as well as provide advice on tax planning and strategy. Tax is a very diverse department with many specialist areas, and every day brings opportunities to assist clients.

The corporate team often advise clients on the tax considerations of expanding into new jurisdictions or having a remote employee based in Spain.

The private client team could be providing inheritance tax advice to ensure families have their estate held in a tax-efficient way.

The owner-managed business team could be advising a family on succession planning for their business.

As there are so many specialist areas in tax, the team are often using LinkedIn to share thought leadership and they also put out monthly newsletters to clients on various topics.

ATT: The ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) qualification is a professional qualification for taxation professionals. It provides a strong understanding of the basic UK tax system and demonstrates the ability to provide services to the self-employed, and industry, commerce and public sector businesses. To achieve the ATT Qualification, students have to complete Personal Tax, Business Tax and one optional paper plus cover ethics, law and accounting. After qualifying, you can progress onto CTA and become a chartered tax advisor, which is the tax equivalent of a chartered accountant.
