    Other requirements

    You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) university for the duration of your placement.

    If you have already graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.

    Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

    Expected Start date: June/July 2024

    Duration: 1 year (approximately)

    Salary: A salary of £21,400 plus a bonus (Stevenage) / a salary of £23,400 plus a bonus (GSK House)

    Please read below about some of the roles we are recruiting for across our HR Industrial Placements. Please note when you apply you will be able to select location preference of where you would like to be placed if successful. We will accommodate your preference where possible.

    R&D Early Talent Coordinator (Stevenage)

    You will work with the R&D (Research and Development) Early Talent Team to ensure the early talent programmes run smoothly and deliver impact to support GSKs ambition. Working within this team will be fast-paced, exciting and full of opportunities. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire lifecycle of our talent programmes through attraction, recruitment, development and offboarding. Not only will you gain plenty of exposure to the HR and Talent organisations, but there will also be great opportunities to expand your knowledge of R&D.

    Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are:

    • Supporting new students starting in R&D, for example 150 Industrial Placement, Apprentice and Graduates
    • Organise internal and external events virtual and face to face
    • Supporting recruitment, selection, development and tracking of future talent programme cohorts and summer students
    • Work with hiring managers to create compelling advertisements and construct internal communications
    • Review and implement recruitment attraction plans
    • Support planning and logistics of assessment days and interviews
    • Assist in collation and tracking of metrics to support recruitment and the diversity agenda
    • Support tracking of budgetary spend
    • Track and update Global/UK/US Careers website with R&D programmes and assist with publishing Internal/external communications
    • Lead after action reviews and implement process improvements
    • Working across boundaries, with colleagues in a multitude of countries to gain global awareness and experience, whilst building a strong network of HR contacts in the UK 
    • Learning how to effectively network and how GSK and especially R&D develop early talent

    While the role requires a good level of IT capability, there is an expectation that many of these technical tasks may be development opportunities with training support provided to expand this valuable skill set.

    Global Finance Capabilities & Early Talent (GSK House) 

    You will work with the Global Finance Capabilities & Early Talent Team to ensure the Finance early talent programme and capability events run smoothly and deliver impact to support GSKs ambition. Working within this team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the finance talent programme through recruitment, development and offboarding. There will also be opportunities to support programmes, like Women in Finance, UK One Finance I&D and UK One Finance development & network team.  You will get to meet a wide range of stakeholders and develop key HR skills, particularly in the DEI space.

     Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are: 

    • Organise internal events both virtual and face to face for our finance graduate programme.
    • Assist in collation and tracking of metrics to support talent programmes and our diversity agenda.
    • Support our GSK Unlocked programme for students with a socially diverse background.
    • Event management: plan and implement webinars and other events associated with Global Finance development days.
    • Regular monitoring of new starters to enroll in relevant training.
    • Manage communications and marketing for Finance development events both in the UK & Globally.
    • Support tracking of budgetary spend.
