In the Digital Assurance team, we provide technical expertise to Assure complex digital systems, to Define digital assurance strategy, and to Innovate the future of digital systems assurance. Our capabilities fit across five key themes:

  • Safety Critical Systems Assurance and Data Safety.
  • Safety Critical Systems Design.
  • Uncrewed / Autonomous Systems Assurance.
  • AI / ML Assurance.
  • Cyber Security for Safety.

The team provides support to customers across multiple markets, ranging from aerospace and government to transport and power.

As a Digital Assurance Engineer you'll be applying your unique perspective to help brainstorm solutions to new problems in the digital sector and beyond. For example, some of our current work is looking at:

  • Developing safety arguments for machine learning,
  • Safer designs within complex air and maritime systems,
  • How autonomous drones can be used to support critical national infrastructure, and
  • Secure and future-proof energy production.

You will be helping us assure the systems of tomorrow to key safety and security standards. This includes all sorts of technology, from ‘traditional’ computer networks to next-generation aircraft.

You will have the opportunity to travel within the UK and internationally – visiting client sites, attending key networking events, perhaps sharing your work at leading industry conferences.

What you’ll need?

You will need:

  • A relevant degree level qualification at 2:1 or above. Examples might include Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or Maritime Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Artificial Intelligence.
  • An open-minded, curious, collaborative, and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Initiative, drive, and adaptability to build your desired career, with support from our leaders.
  • A love of learning and applying of new perspectives to your work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce concise and professional reports.
  • The ability to work well in both a team environment and on your own initiative.

The nature of our work means that we sometimes require staff to access Government material, it is therefore necessary for all our employees to gain appropriate security clearance. We will apply for clearance if you have successfully been selected for a position, and we will decide if we can successfully gain full clearance on your behalf based on the content of your application. Any offer of employment is subject to this requirement being met.
