We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team as an Accounts Administrator. The role will primarily involve supporting the Accountants with various accounting administrative tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in an administrative role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain credit card expenses, checking balances and transactions ensuring VAT receipts are supplied and submitted on time & prompting cardholders to update information required and checking all information is correct
- Raising manual sales invoices for machine sales
- Organising and setting up bank payments
- Keeping track of company insurances, and renewal dates
- Helping with administration tasks for our machine transport
- Assist with processing staff expense claims
- Support the Accountants in ad hoc financial tasks, answering the telephone and reporting tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative position is advantageous.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop in the field of finance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues from various departments.
- Knowledge of the construction or plant hire industry would be advantageous.
