It's an exciting time to join us as a Junior Accountant at AXA UK. Reporting into the Record to Close Manager, you’ll assist in ensuring complete and accurate accounting records are maintained, which enable the provision of financial information and other services for both internal and external customers of the Finance function.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at our Ipswich office, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing
- Support in the production of monthly and quarterly reporting packs under various GAAPs (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), analysing the balance sheets and full profit and loss account for several AXA UK companies.
- Support with the production of annual and quarterly reporting for Solvency II Pillar 3.
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for several AXA UK companies.
- Provide financial analysis and explanatory commentary of actual result performance against prior year, plans, and forecasts.
- Produce ad hoc financial information, analysis, and support to customers, thereby enabling an improved understanding of the information provided.

What you’ll bring
- Progression towards qualification in AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Ability to work under pressure for preparation of management and financial reports in accordance with UK and Group requirements.
- Attention to detail skills to ensure there are no significant errors within financial reports.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers created.
- Experience of working in a logical and professional manner.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
