Due to continued growth we are looking to integrate a placement student (1 year) to support our growing Mechanical Design Engineering Team in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. This placement offers an amazing opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain experience with a progressive and dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning support to Planning Lead and regional Project Planners including site visits, internal and external meetings and programme progress reporting.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of programmes for pre-construction and operations teams.
- Preparation of programme progress reports and s-curve trackers for live projects.
- Assisting with maintenance of the monthly programme report.
- Assisting with maintenance of the monthly commercial resource tracker.
Skills, knowledge and expertise
Essential criteria
- Currently studying a Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Construction degree and aspiring to work as a project planner.
- An effective communicator who is able to build rapport with clients, commercial team, operations team, sub-contractors and manufacturers.
- Must be organised and able to work as part of a team.
- Must be pragmatic with keen attention to detail
- Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel & Outlook.
Desirable criteria
- Experience within this sector or within the domestic M&E or construction sectors
