The University of Cambridge is one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centres. It is made up of over 150 departments, faculties, schools and other institutions.
Cambridge also has 31 colleges which are independent institutions, each with its own property and income. The Colleges appoint their own staff on their own terms and conditions and are responsible for selecting students, in accordance with University regulations. The teaching of students is shared between the Colleges and University departments. Degrees are awarded by the University.
Amongst our staff and students, both past and present, you will find great scientists, economists, philosophers, poets and artists. For over 800 years, their ideas and achievements have transformed and benefited the world. Affiliates of the University have been awarded more Nobel prizes than any other institution, including for the discovery of the structure of DNA, the discovery of the electron, the splitting of the atom and the discovery of penicillin.
The University's size and reputation means that we are able to offer a huge variety of roles. So, if you're looking for a new challenge and would like excellent benefits, extensive learning opportunities and a stimulating working environment in return for your skills and contribution, there could be a job here for you.
