Nationwide and TLT Insight Day

Nationwide Building Society and TLT are welcoming students with an interest in a career in law to join us on Tuesday 26 November 2024 at TLT’s Bristol office.  We will be hosting a day of interactive workshops and presentations all about working as a lawyer (both in-house and private practice) together with tips on how to make your application stand out.  During the day, you will have the opportunity to hear from lawyers and trainees at both Nationwide and TLT and understand the differences between working in-house and in private practice. A networking lunch will enable you to build your confidence and interactive sessions will develop key skills for junior lawyers to give you a taste of what it is like as a trainee or apprentice.  With the increase of solicitor apprenticeships and the SQE, we will discuss the different routes into law and provide practical tips on how to succeed in applications, assessment centres and interviews. This event is designed to support students who are from an under-represented group in the legal profession with a focus on social mobility.  The event is open to all interested parties from final year of sixth form or college onwards, however, Nationwide and TLT would strongly encourage applications from individuals looking to kick-start their legal career. To attend this event, you must:be in your final year at sixth form or college (year 13) or have completed sixth form or college education;be interested in pursuing a legal career at a commercial law firm or inhouse;at least two of the following must apply.
