Ashurst Teamwork Award

Winner: Julian Jandles-Rodriguez

Julian has demonstrated strong teamwork skills and was shortlisted for this award due to his recognition that diversity and individual skillsets can lead to an effective team. As a team member, he displays the ability to listen effectively to others and communicate in a clear, supportive manner.

Clifford Chance Embracing Culture Award

Winner: Tehzeeb Bukhari

Tehzeeb's passion for promoting understanding and tolerance amongst different cultures is evident. She has demonstrated impressive leadership and initiative through her work with the Hussaini Islamic Trust, her position as a Haderech Leader and her participation in events such as the Redbridge Interfaith Holocaust seminar. She has not only worked to promote inter-faith respect and understanding, but also campaigned for the rights of LGBTQIA students. Her commitment to promoting diversity is inspirational and commendable.

Clyde & Co Dedication Award

Winner: Hannah Tayab

Hannah should be incredibly proud of the dedication and work that she has put into her research project with KOREO. Not only has she worked hard to spread awareness of the fight against gender inequality through her project, she has immersed herself in Pakistani culture with respect and has taken this experience to learn how she is able to aid development in Britain.

Norton Rose Fulbright Leadership Award

Winner: Emma Batchelor

Emma has been able to confidently demonstrate great leadership skills academically, within her extracurricular activities and at work.  She is able to lead by example, influence and understanding the needs of those around her.

Pinsent Masons Innovation Award

Winner: Callum Duckmanton

Callum has been able to turn his hobby into a business. This provides evidence of two of Pinsent Masons’ competencies – self-direction and drive. Most people would simply have carried on gaming for fun but Callum saw the commercial side of it and used his knowledge and skills to turn something he enjoyed into something he would not only generate income from but would also help him hone his commercial skills.

Taylor Wessing Community Champion Award

Winner: Gloria Schiavo

Gloria has more than demonstrated her ability to make a difference by using her initiative and think outside the box. Her involvement in providing aid to migrants and refugees and creating awareness around the serious challenges facing this group of people is obviously very topical. Gloria has also shown a sustained commitment to this cause in founding and leading several initiatives, which we hope will remain long after the spotlight on this issue has waned.

Travers Smith Impact Award

Winner: Samuel Marrache

Samuel has made a real impact during university through his contributions towards his local community. His personal achievements to date indicate great leadership skills and someone who is willing to take on huge responsibility and make a difference.

White & Case Commercial Awareness Award

Winner: Arun Sohan-Pall

Arun is a very driven individual who has managed to develop a strong commercial awareness both theoretically and practically. Alongside maintaining a strong academic performance, he has secured a range of commercial placements to help broaden his knowledge. The speed at which he has developed his commercial knowledge is impressive and has received subsequent acknowledgement via two promotions on ‘The Market Mogul’.
