Annie Wilson—Talent Acquisition Graduate Intern, EMEA

Annie, a Talent Acquisition, Early Careers and Diversity Outreach Graduate Intern at WarnerMedia, shares her experience at the firm so far and gives insights into what she is most looking forward to on the programme.

My role:

I'm the Talent Acquisition, Early Careers and Diversity Outreach Graduate Intern! My role encompasses quite a variety of things, but I'm primarily focused on promoting our opportunities to candidates from under-represented groups so that WarnerMedia and its brands can continue to benefit from the richness of diverse and inclusive recruitment.

What I’ve learnt in my first month:

Although it has not yet been a month, I've learned quite a lot already. Mostly that when they say WM is a huge corp...they really mean it! When organising interviews for an Italian position, it took me longer than I'd care to admit to sort out the chaos of different time zones. I've also had the opportunity to put together a proposal of different careers events and university fairs for the EC team to promote our programmes, with the aim of being as inclusive as possible so that the next candidate pool is even stronger and more diverse than the last, in all facets (socio-economic background, culture, ethnicity and more!).

What I’m looking forward to this year:

What I'm looking forward to the most this year is attending the above events and engaging with potential candidates to promote EC and the company. I'm also very excited to get involved with candidate shortlisting and viewing the application process from a new lens, since I was on the other side of the glass 6 months ago!
