Matt

“I felt trusted by my manager and had plenty of support and coaching from people around me. Here, you can always ask questions and grow from new experiences. You get responsibility and you learn from it."

Matt joined Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a graduate just under five years ago. Over that time, he’s progressed from his graduate placement to Sales Analytics and Reporting Manager. He's been able to steer his career in the direction he wanted, explore his interests and drive his own development.

"I enjoy the breadth and scope of responsibility. Working with multiple departments helps you become a holistic thinker, so you have a big part to play, and you can feel it from day one as a graduate."

Throughout his graduate programme, Matt was encouraged to explore different areas of Rolls-Royce. Not only helping him better understand how the business runs, but this also gave him lots of ideas for where his future could take him.

"Career mobility is really important – exposure through the programme to different departments all provides really valuable insight you can bring back to your home department. I wouldn’t have the role I do today if not for these experiences encouraged by my manager."

Matt has really been able to make an impact during his time in the company and he values the trust and flexibility he's been given from the start.

"You are not a small piece of the jigsaw. You work with a lot of responsibility out of your ‘typical’ business area which makes this experience particularly unique.”

His advice to new graduates – take all the opportunities you can from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, because there are plenty of them to carve out your own fulfilling career.
