Doina: Analyst in Investment Consulting at Redington

We caught up with Doina, an Analyst at Redington, to find out about her path into the firm and hear her thoughts on what it's like to work there.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am Doina and currently work as an Analyst in the Investment Consulting team at Redington. Prior to that, I spent two years in Investment risk for a large insurer, after working in a business development role for a small recruitment firm straight after university. I graduated from University of Bristol with a BSc In Economics and Management.

What stood out to you about Redington?

I really liked the size and culture of the company: young, innovative and collaborative. The willingness to help each other and work together towards a common goal was something that appealed to me, alongside the goal that Redington strive towards: Help 100 million people become financially secure - I think this mission is very inspiring and motivating.

What is the culture like at the firm?

I think the size of the company makes it a perfect place to grow and helps maintain a collaborative culture, where learning and teamwork is encouraged. In addition, there are opportunities to get involved in a variety of projects and work across different teams, which helps personal and professional development.

What would be your top tip to members going through the application process?

Understand what Redington does, who their clients are and the role you would play once you join. In addition, openness, enthusiasm, and willingness to get involved are always appreciated.

What’s your favourite aspect of your role at Redington?

I really enjoy the variety of the projects and the opportunity to work across different teams, and with different clients - this really makes the job Interesting and stimulating. In addition, I like that as a consultant we need to be able to understand and explain the bigger picture, which usually involves having the strategic hat on.
