When I joined Forvis Mazars, I was looking for a place to work where I could have a real impact. A place with values that I could believe in and feel part of.
Little did I know, that in my first year, I’d be able to help shape the future of my whole service line.
At Forvis Mazars, we’re agile enough to embrace change. Nothing is set in stone, and we can all influence the direction of the firm.
We’re constantly brainstorming ideas to improve the way we work and enhance the solutions we offer, so we can all have a big say in the way our role or our team works.
The area I work in is Advisory and consulting (A&C). It’s a dynamic environment - constantly evolving both internally, and in the marketplace.
As a result, there are lots of ways to get involved and help the business deliver on key priorities.
I’m on the Aspire Junior Leadership team. We’re a group of people, all below Manager grade, who provide diverse perspectives and develop innovative strategies on the key challenges facing A&C.
My interests led me to focus on the Innovation and Inclusion workstream. Together, we helped to create and communicate the Inclusion, Diversity & Wellbeing Partner goal for A&C. And we’re making our diversity data more cross-sectional to promote allyship across our diversity networks.
Independence is one of our key values, so everyone has encouraged to be innovative and creative.
Despite being one of the more junior members in the team, I was given the opportunity to design and pitch a new innovation framework that will facilitate better idea creation internally.
This project has given me incredible exposure, as well as the chance to collaborate with senior partners and department heads across the firm.
There is always a strong emphasis on a collective approach at Forvis Mazars. We’re encouraged to live the firm’s values and adopt goals that go beyond our normal job roles. We have the chance to collaborate with people across our regional, national and international networks.
There are no limits on the ways you can make an impact. And that really helps you to grow personally and professionally.
