“I am so grateful that I had the chance to push my boundaries during my internship and develop my skills when doing so.”

Sabina Sabova, Marketing Intern

What early careers scheme did you join?

I joined MDLZ Internship Programme as a Marketing Intern for Cadbury Christmas and Halloween team for a placement year 2022 – 2023.

What is the most exciting project that you have worked on?

The biggest and most exciting projects I had the opportunity to support has been the Cadbury Secret Santa Campaign. With a reimagined platform for our established Secret Santa campaign, I was able to peak behind the scenes and participate on the execution of all campaign elements – strategy, creative, media, PR, social, partnerships, internal communications.

This experience has then allowed me to gain the confidence to lead my own projects, such as the brand partnership between Cadbury Roses & Cath Kidston and delivering the Halloween strategy.

Can you give us an example of how you stepped outside your comfort-zone in this role? Or, what is your biggest learning experience since working with us?

I am so grateful that I had the chance to push my boundaries during my internship and develop my skills when doing so. My biggest learning is co-organising and presenting my work in front of 250 internal and external stakeholders.

Going into the challenge I was a bit worried, but with the support from my team and manager, I was able to successfully overcome any hurdles coming my way.

How would you describe the work culture at Mondelēz International and within your function?

Even though MDLZ is such a big company, everyone in the business is supportive, caring, and friendly. Especially in marketing, colleagues are all very kind, inspiring, and passionate about what they do.

What is your favourite MDLZ brand?

My favourite brand at the moment is LU (especially the Le Petit Chocolat Biscuits), but I also absolutely adore Milka since I was little 😊

What advice would you give someone that’s considering doing an internship with MDLZ?

Let your personality and passion shine through everything you do - whether that means your application, interview, or day-to-day responsibilities, stay true to yourself and your values.
