How long have you been with us and what did you study at university?
I have been on the rotational scheme for about six weeks now! My degree was in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
What are you doing at the moment?
I am currently working in Land and Planning, helping both teams with tasks about our upcoming Persimmon and Charles Church sites. This includes identifying new land opportunities to creating and submitting planning applications.
What do you enjoy about working at Persimmon?
The collaboration you have with every single team in the office and the family feel you get from very member of the office.
How have you found the graduate scheme so far and the support you’ve received?
The graduate scheme is amazing! You have support from everyone, including your managing director and Madi, who runs the graduate scheme. If you need anything at all, there will always be someone available to assist you and to help you out.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about applying?
Just apply! The opportunities you will get from rotating around every department are phenomenal, and it is an opportunity that will only come up once! Not every company offers this, Persimmon is one of the companies that will offer it so take advantage!
Anything else you think is helpful for future graduates to know?
Coming from a completely different background (that isn't construction/housebuilding) can be a little overwhelming, however, the support system you get from your teams makes it feel like you've been a housebuilder for life!
