Meet Haleema | Dispute Resolution department

Name: Haleema Punnu

Office: London

About: 1st year trainee sat in the Dispute Resolution department

Since starting my training in September, my time with our Dispute Resolution team has offered a wide range of opportunities and work. This has spanned from attending Court Hearings, researching tasks and drafting key documents in litigation. I have worked with a range of people from Partners, Associates and paralegals who are always on hand to help push and develop my skills as a valued trainee. The firm's Dispute Resolution team is a very welcoming team and only in my second week as a trainee we had a team building away day in Brighton. It was a great way to meet the team in a more relaxed environment which truly highlighted that the firm values us as individuals and truly wants us to bring our whole selves to work.

Outside of the formal training the firm has a variety of pro-bono work they are keen for all to be involved with. I have recently joined the team assisting the National Deaf Children's Society with their appeals and I am very excited to be involved in my first case. Additional I have taken a key role in assisting our Discover group with amending our Neurodiversity policy to ensure it is truly reflective of the neurodiverse employees. This has included meeting with different members of HR to understand what the firm offers as well as providing draft amendments to the actual policy.
