We are taking active steps to build a culture of thinking, acting and leading inclusively that is embedded throughout our business. Read below to find out how we're making a difference and for more information head to our website..
1. Paid Internship Programs for Diverse Talent
Teneo partners with organizations like the 10,000 Interns Foundation to offer paid internships, providing meaningful work experiences for early-career professionals, with a focus on under-represented talent. Interns benefit from hands-on learning, structured training, and mentorship to help them build essential skills and career foundations.
Its subset, 10,000 Black Interns, provides young Black people with work experience and exposure to new sectors and career opportunities. In 2023, 12 individuals were selected to intern at Teneo through this program with three ultimately hired as full-time employees.
2. Investment in DE&I Leadership
We continue to expand our DE&I team, ensuring that we have subject matter experts in place and executive sponsorship to drive our DE&I goals. This commitment is reflected in our action plans and ambitions at the highest levels of the company.
3. Women@Teneo Financial Advisory Initiative
Our Women@Teneo initiative helps female talent build strong networks, both within and outside the company, while celebrating their success. We are also launching the second year of the Women’s Breakthrough Programme, which supports junior female employees by clarifying career pathways and building connections to advance their careers.
4. Sponsorship of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC)
We are proud sponsors of IWIRC, which connects and promotes women in the insolvency and restructuring professions globally. One of our Managing Directors, Hannah Aynsely, is currently serving as co-chair of the London chapter, further supporting our commitment to gender diversity.
5. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Our employee-led ERGs serve as culture champions across the globe. Their efforts ensure that Teneo’s commitment to building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture remains at the forefront by raising awareness, facilitating ongoing dialogue, promoting professional development and supporting our diversity recruiting efforts.
6. Employee Networks and Communities
We support a range of employee-led networks that bring together individuals with shared characteristics or interests, helping to foster a sense of belonging and engagement across the company.
7. Family-Friendly and Life Event Support Policies
Teneo offers comprehensive family-friendly policies, including competitive leave for birthing parents, adopters, and partners. We also provide support for life events related to reproductive health and caring responsibilities, with market-leading policies such as menopause and pregnancy loss support, and a flexible “work anywhere” policy to accommodate diverse needs.
8. Inclusive Culture Council (ICC)
Our Inclusive Culture Council brings together leaders from across the business to advise the Global Executive Committee on culture-related policies. Co-led by our Chairwoman and Chief People Officer, the ICC serves as a proactive advocate for positive, inclusive culture change, ensuring that our workplace remains a place where everyone can thrive.
“It is my fundamental belief that our business will only thrive if our people thrive, which is why the health of our culture must remain top of mind for every person at this firm. We brought this powerful group of leaders together to help us do that.” Paul Keary, CEO.
