What was your career path at Bloomberg?
I joined the company in an administrative role in 2008 and have worked my way to an exciting, creative and challenging role in Sales. In my current role, I’m involved with Core Terminal sales in the UK region and serve as the Account Manager for Bloomberg for Education in the UK.
How were you able to make that career move?
At Bloomberg, the opportunities to develop your skills and further your career are endless. My team is always open to new and creative ways of doing things—they help me achieve my goals and are super supportive when I get results.
“I am really proud of what I have achieved over the last few years. Everything I have learned in each position at Bloomberg is so valuable for what I do now.”
What skills helped you be successful in your role?
Definitely my communication skills, including being bilingual in English and Spanish, have been beneficial when I find and speak with potential clients to arrange demos. In addition, relationship building and time management skills are essential when I’m arranging visits with my existing clients for trainings and to assist them with integrating the Bloomberg Terminal as a teaching and learning resource. Especially, the Bloomberg Market Concepts which is a brand new e-learning tool that provides an introduction to finance that we’ve been introducing to university clients.
What has been your favorite volunteering experience through Bloomberg?
Volunteering with the Start Up initiative run by Bloomberg Philanthropies to provide children with career workshops and advice on options after secondary school, be that in higher education or the workforce.
