    1983 – 2001

    The journey begins

    In 1983, A&M was founded in New York as a restructuring boutique. By 1999, expansion was on the agenda, with a decision made to grow from boutique Restructuring firm into a national Restructuring firm. There was further growth in 2001 with a Turnaround/Restructuring firm launched in Europe.

    2002 - 2005

    Expansion of A&M service offerings

    A&M expands its restructuring reach in major US cities and in Canada. A year later, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act spurs entry into Performance Improvement and business advisory services. By 2005, A&M had launched dedicated Transaction Advisory and Private Equity Services.

    2008 – 2012

    Lehmen Brothers and entry into Financial Industry market

    Lehman Brothers files for bankruptcy in 2008, with A&M chosen to lead global wing-down. Several years later in 2012, Lehman Brothers emerge from the largest bankruptcy in US history and begins to repay creditors.

    Meanwhile, A&M broadens its services by establishing a Financial Industry Advisory practice.

    2020 - 2023

    Expansion of global reach

    A&M works with companies, governments and entities across the industry spectrum to improve Operational & Financial Performance.

    There is continued growth as A&M expands its global reach with the launch of its Southeast Asia and Australia business unit in 2022. A year later, the first Global Capability Centre is established in India to drive change and add value across multiple business lines.
