Simran is a Management graduate from the University of Warwick. She secured a graduate role as a Social Executive at Publicis Media in London, through Bright Network. 
First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
"Hi I'm Simran. Going into university I wasn't completely sure about what career path I wanted to follow, all I knew is that I wanted to do something I'd enjoy."
What motivated you to apply for your role?
"I thing that attracted me the most was the the creative and analytical side of the role, as well as the opportunity to work with big clients."
What was the application process like?
"The application process began with an online assessment, then call with HR and finally an online assessment centre.
The online assessment centre consisted of a group exercise and two lots of 20 minute interviews."
What are you most proud of about your journey?
"I feel most proud of never giving up. Over the past year, I had applied to many jobs and was facing constant rejection.
However, I didn't let my previous failure dictate my mindset when applying to this job and it paid off!"

What are your tips for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
"It's better to be over prepared than under prepared. The more prepared you are, the more confident you will be with your answers during interviews.
I prepared both personal and competency based questions using the STAR technique. My advice to others would be to make sure you know your answers and examples inside out."

"I'm most looking forward to building my knowledge and learning new skills in my new role."
