George is a Business and Management with Industrial Experience student from the University of Exeter. He secured a Product Strategy and Delivery role at Bentley in Crewe, through Bright Network. 
First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
“I’ve always been interested in business. Over the course of the last 7 years, I’ve honed my business and employability skills, culminating in this new role where I can learn more about business in a prestigious company.”
What motivated you to apply for your role?
“To gain more experience in product delivery from start to finish.”
What was the application process like?
“The application process was shorter than expected. My support from the Bright Network team also made it much simpler.
I was initially nervous, but as time went on, I felt more confident and found that with resilience you can get through anything.”
How did Bright Network help you secure your role?
“I’ve previously attended Bright Network events such as FESTIVAL and I’ve also taken part in IEUK.
I’ve also used Bright Network’s deadline tracker to keep on top of my applications.”
What are you most proud of about your journey?
“I’m most proud of the fact I was able to balance my time between studies and extracurricular activities to successfully obtain a placement.”
What are your tips for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
“I’ve learnt that resilience is the most important thing. Don’t give up and keep going until you get a placement!”
Tell us about the future. What’s next?
“I’m looking to secure a graduate role with lots of development opportunities for employability skills and ultimately want to work towards completing an MBA.”
