Please can you introduce yourself and your role at QBE?

I’m Ashleigh, 24, from Ireland. I joined QBE in September as a trainee actuarial analyst and am excited to be starting my career in this industry.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I’m still quite new, so there’s a lot to learn, which I find exciting. I also enjoy collaborating with different people, including underwriters and data scientists.

What achievement would you say you’re most proud since working at QBE?

I’m still figuring this one out as I settle into the role, but I’m proud of how much I’ve learned so far and my ability to adapt to a new environment.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day can vary, but it usually involves working on case pricing or analysing models and rates to support decision-making.

What would be your advice to someone considering applying?

Do it! QBE offers a great environment for learning, and you’ll have opportunities to work with talented, and supportive people.
